Project Description: (include nature of object(s), subject matter, quantity & sizes)
I am continuing the work with my arduino. I have decided that I am going to postpone the work on the Snake game that I was originally going to complete for the artshow. I do not as of yet have enough knowledge to interface an LED Matrix, so I will save that for my college days. For now, I will be working with Photoresistors to make a target shooting carnival-like game.
Purpose/Objective:
I want to learn about how all of this stuff works. I know a lot about the code that goes into these applications on macs and PC’s, because I ca write a lot of those myself. However, I know very little about the physical side of computer science. Since I am soon to enter the field, I feel as tho this is a necessary part of my learning experience.
Materials:
- arduino
- jumper wires
- solderless breadboard
Time line (include completion date):
I plan to have, at the very least, a drawing detailing a schematic-esque plan for the arduino-based system.

This project is to work on faces. Using the sculptures from the still life I will practice both sketching and inking of faces. I aim to produce two inked face sketches on large sketching paper.
Purpose/Objective:
I have always had a fascination with eyes. They are fairly difficult to draw, but I feel like I have a fairly decent grasp on how to sketch them on their own. However, once the other facial features come in — e.g. hair, nose, ears, etc. — the pieces become horribly mishapen as I always seem to misplace the features in relation to each other. Using the techniques Mr. Dipaolo taught me I intend to better my understanding of each features spacing between each other feature and within the face as a whole.
Materials:
- ink
- pen
- water color brush
- Large Sketching Paper
Time line (include completion date):
In the next two weeks, i plan to have one completed. I will then begin working on some charcoal drawings as this is a medium that I find quite difficult and exciting as well.
